About Me
Greetings, my name is David Rodriguez, I am a Senior at Brooklyn College, my Major is Computer Science,my Minor is Data Science, and in my spare time I am an active member at my college via my College’s Student Government. To touch on my Computer Science / Data Science skills, I am Alumni of CUNY Tech Prep via the Data Science track, I have taken a technical interview prep course from Codepath, and built several AI Projects. To touch on two of the projects I have worked on, via a team of 3 worked on a Food Clasification Model that was leveraged with an AI Rag System, and in another project the team I was a part of worked on an AI Vision Application aimed at letting blind people see via audio descriptions. In terms of soft skills, I am always looking to try new things and a few of the things I have worked on because of this are, a council member at one my colleges student government groups, an elected student senator, and I have helped in evetns both in and out of the school. I am always working in some sort of team and am always willing to adjust to new circumstances and roles. Thank you for reading and I hope we can connect!
Projects

Blind-spot
February 2025 - May 2025
- Designed and optimized an end‑to‑end agent pipeline for the Blind Spot application, capturing real‑time camera frames, and feeding into a Google Gemini‑powered LangChain model, achieving 95% uptime in production.
- Engineered and containerized a scalable Flask/Gunicorn backend on Render, continuous deployment, while implementing request‑level caching, history‑aware prompts, and secure API‑key’s to support concurrent users.

Food Chain
October 2024 - December 2024
- Implemented a classification model by using Tensorflow with around a 70 percent success rate to perform food classification in order to inform users of what it is they are eating from a database of a variety of foods found most common in the United States.
- Trained the model with a database over 100 classes with a total of 100,000 images, trained the model on a variety of data implementing advanced training techniques to ensure the model was accurate and acceptable.
- Applied a Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) inside the application tied to a database of thousands of authentic recipes to provide users with recipes based on their query, combined 2 features to create a system of classification and Al and data driven creation.
